Deleting a Collaborative Space

You can delete a collaborative space if it contains no content.

You cannot delete the Common Space collaborative space.

Important: You cannot delete a collaborative space if it contains any hidden content. You cannot delete hidden content.


Before you begin:
  • You must be the main owner of the collaborative space.
  • Delete all data, including all iterations, from the collaborative space.
  1. Select either of the following:
    • If viewing tiles: Select > Delete for the collaborative space.
    • If viewing the content of a collaborative space: from the toolbar, select Collaborative space name > Delete.

    If the collaborative space contains content that you can delete, a message displays indicating that the app cannot delete the collaborative space. If appropriate, you can delete the content before trying again.

    If the collaborative space contains content that you cannot delete, the app displays a failure message that includes a Click here for more details link. This link opens a dialog box that displays this information:

    • The number of objects that cannot be deleted because you do not have delete access to those objects.
    • The number of objects you can automatically move to the collaborative space's parent.
    • The number of objects you can move to another collaborative space.

    If all of the remaining objects can be moved to the parent collaborative space, click Move. If you need to select a target collaborative space, select it from the list and click Move. The app displays a success or fail message.

    If you see a fail message, you cannot delete this collaborative space.

  2. If the collaborative space can be deleted, the app shows a confirmation prompt. Click Delete to confirm.
