Dynamically Updated Variables

This topic lists dynamically updated variables. The following variables may be set in the as well as by manually editing the [matrix] section of the .ini file.

Variable Description
BROWSEBY May be set to Icons or Details to indicate what mode the Matrix browser uses when first displayed. The default is Icons.
CHECKINAPPEND Toggle switch for the checkin options, append or replace. The default is false, which means that existing files are replaced by newly checked-in files.
CHECKINCONFIRM Toggle switch for the appearance of a confirmation window when the replace button is selected on checkin. The default is false, meaning that no warning is presented.
CHECKINDELETE Toggle switch for the checkin option, delete files after checkin. The default is false.
CHECKINUNLOCK Specifies whether objects should be unlocked after files are checked in. The default is false.
CHECKOUTCONFIRM Toggle switch for the appearance of a warning screen when a checkout would overwrite a file with the same name. The default is false, which means the warning does not appear.
CHECKOUTLOCK Specifies whether objects should be locked after files are checked out. The default is false.
CHECKOUTOVERWRITE Toggle switch for the checkout option overwrite existing files. The default is false.
CONNECTBAR Toggle switch for displaying the relationship list box in a relationship browser for use with the drop connect feature. The default is false.
DROPRELATION Specifies the relationship to use for the drop connect feature. It may be set to any valid relationship name.
FILEPATH The default path for both checkin and checkout. The default is the path defined as HOME in the ini file.
FILTERBAR The Filter bar may be displayed or not based on this setting. The default is true.
NAVIGATEBY May be set to Star, Indented, or Details to indicate what mode the relationship browser uses when displayed. The default is Star.
OPEN Sets the behavior of the double-click action on an object. The default is Edit and can alternatively be set to View.
ROLEBAR The Role bar may be displayed or not based on this setting. The Role bar lets the user use visuals for one of the roles they are assigned. The default is true, which displays the Role bar.
REVISIONWARN Toggle switch for the appearance of a notification of a later revision. The default is true, which means the warning appears when an object for which there is a higher revision is opened or printed, or a checkin or checkout is attempted.
VIEWBY Sets the appearance of objects in Matrix, with Icon being the default. Other options are Image or Name.
