Overwriting Documents

The Confirm file overwrite dialog box appears, if the documents selected for download and open are already present in the local workspace, with either different time stamp or some modification.

In the Confirm file overwrite dialog box, the following columns are displayed:

Column NameDescription
CurrentIteration of the local document.
NewIteration of the selected document.
PathLocation of the document in your computer.
Local ModificationDate and time, the document was modified and saved in your computer. This column is available, only if it is configured by the administrator.
Server ModificationDate and time, the document was modified in the system. This column is available, only if it is configured by the administrator.

You can customize columns and their order of display, except the order of the selection check box, Name, and Path columns in the Confirm file overwrite dialog box. Objects that can be overwritten are selected in the Overwrite dialog box by default.

Click Overwrite All in the Confirm file overwrite dialog box, to select all the listed documents. The selected documents are overwritten, and opened in CATIA.

You can click Overwrite None, to clear all the selected documents.

If the documents in your computer cannot be stamped, or are not stamped, the Current column does not display the values for those documents. The following file types do not support stamping:

  • V4 Model
  • Design Table
  • CGR
  • IGES
  • VRML
  • CATAnalysisResults
  • CATAnalysisComputations
  • 3DXML
  • IDF
