Viewing Object Geometry using Automatic Reframe

You can view minute geometry details of objects using automatic reframe. Automatic reframe is performed when you open a structure that has its root document created from a template.

Before you begin: Create an assembly structure with a root CATProduct (created from template) and one child CATPart with geometry. Ensure that the CATPart is not reframed before saving it to 3DEXPERIENCE.
  1. Launch CATIA and connect to 3DEXPERIENCE.
  2. In the CATIA toolbar, select 3DEXPERIENCE platform > Open.
  3. Search for the CATProduct and select it.
  4. Click OK to open the CATProduct.
    You can view the CATPart geometry using automatic reframe.
    Note: Reframe of the geometry is done only if the parent is created from a template. Once the parent is checked out and saved back, the geometry is not reframed for the next check out operation.
