Dragging Objects

You can drag objects from the search results and the Product Structure Design app to a chapter. You can drag a chapter to another chapter, of the same catalog or a different one.

You cannot drag an item from one chapter to another, of the same catalog or a different one.

The below task explains how to drag objects from the search results to the Design IP Classification app.

Required access roles:

Baseline: Leader

Before you begin:
  • Open the product search results.
  • Open a chapter in the Design IP Classification app.
  1. Select a product from the search results.
  2. Select a chapter.
  3. Drag the selected product to the selected chapter.
    Note: The pointer changes to when you drag the product and the pointer changes to when there is no effect on drag and drop.

    A success message appears. The product is copied under the chapter, and the product points to the same items as the original product.
