Validating Processes

The Change Specialist page allows you to display a global analysis of the change process and track issues.

This task shows you how to:

Display Charts

The following charts are available:

Chart Title Description
Average time from create to completion Average time between originated date and completion date in days, sorted by change type.
Average time spent in approval Average time taken to review changes in days, sorted by change type.
Average number of change actions per change order Average number of change actions for one change order.
Average number of resources used during approval Average number of people assigned to a task belonging to an approval route, sorted by change type.
Number of change requests and change orders without approval tasks Number of change requests and change orders without approval tasks, sorted by change type.
Number of change requests and change orders with approval tasks created and validated by the same person Number of change requests and change orders for which task assignee and route (with approval purpose) owner are the same, sorted by change type.
Number of issues raised against an Affected item after completion of a change Number of issues raised for each change action, until the completion date of the change action.
Number of failed changes Number of changes in 'Canceled' state, sorted by change type and organization.

Zoom In Charts

Click the element (a bar, a pie chart slice, etc.) you want the chart to be refined on.

The corresponding filter is added to the Active Filters bar and the page immediately reloads to apply it to its content.

You can now:
  • Repeat the step on a different chart element to add more filters to the page.
  • Click the same element again to remove the filter.

Note that you can also access filters directly by clicking in the upper-right corner. A refine panel will open to let you select your filter criteria.

Display Change Details

You can display a pane that contains a table view of the chart's data and a list of all the charted objects so you can explore their details.

  1. From the header of the chart, click Actions... > See underlying data.
    The Underlying Data pane opens at the bottom of the widget. It is composed of:
    • A Values tab, which displays a table view of the chart's data.
    • An Objects tab, which displays a list of all the charted objects.
  2. To close the Underlying Data pane, click .

Drag an Object to a 3DEXPERIENCE Widget

You can drag an object to a dedicated 3DEXPERIENCE widget from the Underlying Data pane. Note that the list of compatible widgets depends on your 3DEXPERIENCE configuration and roles.

  1. From the header of the chart, click Actions... > See underlying data.
    The Underlying Data pane opens at the bottom of the widget.
  2. Select the Objects tab.
  3. Select the row corrsponding to the object you want to open.
  4. Select to drag your object directly to the appropriate 3DEXPERIENCE widget.
