Ambience Properties

Ambience properties are managed through the Properties panel. You can view and modify them.

General

Asset
Displays the name of the asset.
Name
Defines the name of the ambience.
Finite Dome
Defines the dome type of the ambience.
  • If you select the Finite Dome check box, the ambience has a finite dome. A dome is displayed around the object.
  • If you clear the Finite Dome check box, the ambience has an infinite dome. A ground texture is displayed. It is useful for static pictures.
Note: This property is only available with Hdr Finite ambience types.
Dome Radius
Lets you resize the dome radius. It is useful for large models or pictures of buildings to fit the background image.
Note:
  • This property is only available with Hdr Finite ambience types.
  • The following is some information about properties override.

    If you select the Finite Dome check box, the ambience has a finite dome. In this case, you can override the value of the Dome Radius property.

    If you clear the Finite Dome check box, the ambience has an infinite dome. In this case, you cannot override the value of the Dome Radius property. The property is not editable.

Dome Origin
Defines the origin of the ambience.
Note:
  • This property is only available with Hdr Finite ambience types.
  • The following is some information about properties override.

    If you select the Finite Dome check box, you can override the value of the Dome Origin property as the ambience has a finite dome.

    If you clear the Finite Dome check box, you cannot override the value of the Dome Origin property as the ambience has an infinite dome. The property is not editable.

Dome Rotation
Defines the rotation of the ambience in the parent coordinate system (X, Y, Z).
Note:
  • This property is only available with Hdr Finite ambience types.
  • If you select or clear the Finite Dome check box, you can override the value of the Dome Rotation property.

Ground

Ground Offset
Offsets the ground up or down from the object.
Ground Scale Ratio
Fits the ground to the dome and the object.
Ground Reflectivity
Adapts the reflectivity from the ground on the object.
Ground Glossiness
Adapts the glossiness of the ground.
Note: Glossiness is activated when the Reflectivity value is different from zero.
