Autofocus Properties

Autofocus properties are managed through the Properties panel. You can view and modify them.

Note: This behavior is only compatible with cameras.

This page discusses:

General

Active
Defines whether or not a behavior is active during a playing session.
Notes:
  • An inactive behavior or script is not executed during a playing session.
  • The behavior's activity depends on the actor's activity. If its associated actors are inactive, the behavior is also inactive.

Parameters

Focus Mode
Defines how the focus distance of the camera is determined.

Three modes are available:

  • Manual: Lets you pick the position defined by the Focus Distance property.
  • Centered: Automatically computes the distance between the camera and the objects located in the center of the screen.
Note: The first face of the object is selected. If there is no object in the center of the screen, the Focus Distance property is taken into account.
  • Target: Automatically computes the distance between the camera and the selected object.
Note: If no object is selected, the Focus Distance property is taken into account.
Focus Target
Defines the targeted object.
Note: This property is only available if the focus mode is set to Target.
