Open Close Properties

Open Close properties are managed through the Properties panel. You can view and modify them.

General

Active
Defines whether or not a behavior is active during a playing session.
Notes:
  • An inactive behavior or script is not executed during a playing session.
  • The behavior's activity depends on the actor's activity. If its associated actors are inactive, the behavior is also inactive.

Activation

Activate on
Defines the default trigger for a behavior.

Four options are available:

  • Mouse Clicked: triggers the behavior when you click an actor.
  • Key pressed: triggers the behavior when you press a keyboard key.
  • Zone Entered: triggers the behavior when a trigger zone is entered.
  • No activation: deactivates the default trigger.

Activation Key
Defines the key that triggers the behavior.
Note: This property is only available if you select Key pressed.
Activation Zone
Defines the zone that triggers the action.
Note: This property is only available if you select Zone entered.

Advanced

Initial Opened Ratio
Defines the percentage of door opening.
Note: The value must be positive and be included between 0 and 1.
  • 0: the door is open
  • 1: the door is closed

Motion

Mode
Defines the type of movement: translation or rotation.
Opened Position
Defines the distance of translation.
Opened Angle
Defines the angle of rotation.
Duration
Defines the duration of the movement.
Reference
Defines the reference object that is associated with the reference axis.
Note: If no object is defined, the actor moves along its local axes.
Reference Axis
Defines the reference axis: X, Y, or Z.
