Orbital Navigation Properties

Orbital navigation properties are managed through the Properties panel. You can view and modify them.

General

Active
Defines whether or not a behavior is active during a playing session.
Notes:
  • An inactive behavior or script is not executed during a playing session.
  • The behavior's activity depends on the actor's activity. If its associated actors are inactive, the behavior is also inactive.

Controls

Allow Zoom
Activates the zoom.
Use Mouse
Lets you use the mouse to control the camera.
Use Keyboard
Lets you use the keyboard to control the camera.
Move Left
Defines the key that moves the camera to the left.
Move Right
Defines the key that moves the camera to the right.
Move Up
Moves the camera up.
Move Down
Moves the camera down.
Zoom In
Makes the object appear closer.
Use Gamepad
Controls the camera using a gamepad.
Zoom Out
Makes the object appear further away.
Zoom Sensitivity
Defines the zoom multiplier.
Navigate on Click
Moves the view only when you click.
Follow Mouse
Moves the view according to the mouse movement.

Advanced

Horizontal Rotation Sensitivity
Defines the speed when you rotate the camera around the object (left to right).
Vertical Rotation Sensitivity
Defines the speed when you rotate the camera around the object (up to down).
Minimum Distance
Defines the minimum distance from the camera to the targeted object.
Maximum Distance
Defines the maximum distance from the camera to the targeted object.
Invert X Axis
Changes x-axis controls.
Invert Y Axis
Changes y-axis controls.
Hide Obstacles
Hides objects that are between the targeted object and the camera.
Avoid Collision
Prevents the camera from colliding with other objects.
Automatic Rotation at Idle
Automatically rotates the camera.
Automatic Rotation Timer
Defines the time interval before the camera rotates.

Parameters

Target Object
Defines the object pointed by the camera.
Keep Over the Floor
Prevents the camera viewpoint from going under the targeted object.
Show Reticule
Displays the reticule at the center of the screen.
Note: The check box is cleared by default.
