General
-
Focal Length
- Defines the distance between the camera origin and the convergence
plane.
Notes:
- With a long focal length, the view angle is narrow.
- With a short focal length, the view angle is wide.
-
Name
- Defines the name of the camera.
- Active
- Defines whether or not the actor is active during a playing session.
Notes:
- The actor's activity depends on the context. If one or more parent actors are inactive in the
hierarchy, the actor is also inactive.
- When the actor is inactive during a playing session, its associated behaviors or scripts are
inactive.
-
Projection Type
- Defines the projection type:
- Parallel: displays your object in a
parallel view.
- Perspective: displays your object in a
perspective view.
-
Near Clip
- Defines the distance from which objects are visible.
-
Far Clip
- Defines the distance from which objects are no longer visible.
-
Enable Automatic Clipping
- Automatically computes the Near Clip and
Far Clip properties.
Photographic
-
Aperture
- Controls the aperture of the camera lens. This property has an effect on
the exposure.
A large aperture (low f/ value)
means:
- a bright picture
- a large sharp area around the focus.
A small aperture (high f/ value) means:
- a dark picture
- a small sharp area around the focus.
Note:
To make the effects visible in the 3D area, check if the Depth
of Field option is already selected in the
Visual Quality panel.
-
Speed
- Defines the shutter speed of the camera. This property has an effect on the
exposure.
Values range from 1/4000s to 1s. The higher the value, the
darker the image.
-
Exposure
- Increases or decreases the amount of light to determine the brightness of
the experience. Whenever you modify the aperture or speed, the exposure is
automatically adjusted.
-
Enable Exposure
- Activates or deactivates the exposure.
Note:
By default, this property is
active.
Effects
-
Enable Depth of Field
- Enables the depth of field effect. This property blurs portions of the
experience that appear beyond the camera's focus distance.
Note:
To make the
effects visible in the 3D area, check if the Depth of
Field option is already selected in the
Visual Quality panel.
-
Focus Distance
- Defines the focus distance of the camera. This property enables you to
adjust the depth of field.
Note:
To make the effects visible in the 3D area, check if the Depth of
Field option is already selected in the
Visual Quality panel.
-
Enable Glow
- Applies a glowing effect to objects. The effect enhances the light
reflection.
Notes:
- Objects must reflect light.
- To make the effects visible in the 3D area, check if the
Bloom option is already selected in
the Visual Quality panel.
-
Glow Intensity
- Specifies how bright the effect is.
Notes:
- This property is available only if you select Enable
Glow.
- Values range from 0.2 to 500. The higher the value, the more
intense the glowing effect.
- To make the effects visible in the 3D area, check if the
Bloom option is already selected in
the Visual Quality panel.
Post Process
-
Enable Tone Mapping
- Activates or deactivates tone mapping according to the following
properties: Blacks, Whites,
Saturation, and Gamma.
Note:
By default, this property is active.
-
Blacks
- Gives more contrast to dark areas.
-
Whites
- Gives more contrast to white areas.
-
Saturation
- Defines the intensity of colors.
Note:
Values range from 0 to 1. The higher
the value, the more intense the color.
-
Gamma
- Sets the gamma correction value.
-
Enable Color Grading
- Activates or deactivates the color grading process thanks to the lookup
table. This process enables you to change the visual tone of an image.
-
LUT Image
- Defines a lookup table (LUT) that transforms a set of colors into a
different range of colors.
Notes:
- This property is available only if you select Enable
Color Grading.
- To avoid compression artifacts, you should provide an image in
bitmap format (.bmp).
- The image must include 32 color matrices. Each color matrix must
have the following size: 32 x 32 pixels.
- The image must have the following size: 1024 x 32 pixels.
