Planetary Environment Properties

Planetary environment properties are managed through the Properties panel. You can view and modify them.

Asset
Displays the name of the asset.

Options

Render Mode
Defines the render mode.
  • Real-time: Makes all planetary effects active and rendered in real time.
  • Sky: Renders the sky only.
  • Off: Deactivates all planetary effects during rendering.
Ocean
Displays or hides ocean in the environment.
Clouds
Displays or hides clouds in the environment.
Forests
Displays or hides forests in the environment.
Grass
Displays or hides grass in the environment.
Ground objects
Displays or hides elements such as boulders or vegetation.
Objects
Displays or hides buildings or vehicles.
District
Displays or hides districts.

Ocean

Beaufort Scale
Defines wind strength and changes the size and speed of waves.

Quality

Profile
Defines a profile.
  • Low: Provides low quality but with very high performance. (Ideal for laptops)
  • Medium: Provides average visual quality. (Intended for most computers)
  • High: Provides high visual quality.
  • Ultra: Provides very high visual quality. (Intended for high-level computer configuration)
Shadow profile
Adjusts the shadow distance for small, medium, and large scenes.

To change the shadow quality, use the slider:

  • To obtain good performance, move the slider to Performance.
  • To obtain high quality, move the slider to Quality.

Date

Time
Lets you change the time of the environment.
Speed
Defines how time elapses in the environment.
Apply Time to Animations
Applies time speed to natural elements (for example, clouds or forests).
