Simulation Animation Properties

Simulation animation properties are managed through the Properties panel. You can view and modify them.

General

Name
Defines the name of the animation.
Speed Factor
Defines the speed of the animation.
Duration
Specifies the animation's duration in seconds.
Loop
Repeats the animation until it is stopped by a scenario or a script.
Reverse
Plays the animation in reverse.
Bounce
Plays the animation forward first and then backward.
Notes:
  • If the Reverse property is selected, the animation plays backward first, and then forward.
  • If the Loop property is selected, the animation plays backward and forward until the animation is stopped by a scenario or a script.

Simulation

Animate All Steps
Defines whether or not the animation applies to all the steps.
Note: When you select Animate All Steps, Animation Scope becomes unavailable.
Animation Scope
Defines which step you want to animate.
Notes:
  • By default, the active step is the last step available in the hierarchy.
  • When you change the animation step, the frame and duration are updated according to the properties of the selected step.
Scope Min
Displays the minimum value for the animation scope.
Scope Max
Displays the maximum value for the animation scope.
Authoring Frame
Lets you select an animation frame.
Computed Min
Displays the minimum value for a given time frame.
Computed Max
Displays the maximum value for a given time frame.
Deformation Scale
Defines the scale factor that is applied to a deformed shape.

Preview

Play
Plays the animation.
Stop
Stops the animation.
Jump to Previous
Moves the animation to the previous frame.
Jump to Next
Moves the animation to the next frame.

The capacity shows the content of the selected actor, and plays its animation. The capacity is available with simulation case and simulations actors.
