Getting Started

The review process involves measuring objects, sectioning through them, and annotating them. You can create slides displaying specific states of the root product, part, 2D drawing, diagram layout and its sheets, or the filtered product. To get started, you have to follow a few basic steps.

Before you begin: You must be assigned the Collaborative Industry Innovation role to access 3D Markup.
  1. Start 3D Markup in your dashboard.
  2. Search for the part, product, product structure, unified product structure, filter, drawing, diagram layout, or layout sheet that you want to review.

    Important:
    • You can review drawings created in CATIA V5 releases since R17 and saved on the platform.
    • You can review 3D data such as V6 references, 3DShapes, V5 CATProducts, CATParts.
    • You can associate only one filter to a markup and it cannot be replaced by other filter or a product.

  3. Drag it to 3D Markup to open it.

    Note: If you drag a drawing to 3D Markup, any previously added content is removed from the widget.
    Important: Multi-selection is possible only if all the selected objects are product elements. If the selected objects contain drawings and reviews, only one object is opened in 3D Markup.

    You can now start your review work.
