Creating a Controller for a Resource Reference

This procedure describes how to create a motion controller for a resource reference.


Before you begin: To perform this procedure, you must have a robot or a tool device with at least one Mechanism.
  1. From the Motion Controller section of the action bar, click Motion Controller .
  2. Select the robot from the tree or the work area.
    The Select Resource dialog box is displayed.
  3. Select the desired Mechanism and click OK.

A controller for the resource reference with the default profiles and default Motion Group is created. This Motion Group can be used to program the resource.

Notes:
  • If there is only one mechanism, the Select Resource dialog box is not shown.
  • It is not possible to change the mechanism once the controller has been created. To change the mechanism to control, you must delete the existing controller and repeat the steps to create a new controller.
