Mounting Resources

This describes how mount a weld gun to a robot then the robot to a rail/gantry system.

Click Play to watch the video:

  1. Click Define Mechanical Resource and select the robot.
  2. Select Click to Mount/Unmount from the contextual icons.
  3. Click the Rail/Gantry system.
    The robot snaps to the Rail/Gantry.
  4. Click OK in the Mount dialog box.
  5. Click Set Tool.
    The Set Tool dialog box appears showing the Abb Robot as the Parent.
  6. Click the weld gun.
    The weld gun snaps to the robot. Orientate according.
  7. Select options accordingly and click OK.
  8. Click Jog Mechanism and select the Rail/Gantry.
    The dialog box appears, move according and Close when completed.
  9. Click the Robot and select the Jog Mechanism.
    The dialog box appears.
  10. Move the Robot accordingly. If the robot is out or range, it changes color.
  11. Click Home_1 (to return to original position) and Close when completed.
