Retrieving the Kinematic Mechanism, the 3D Piping Model, or the 3D HVAC Model

Open Physical Model lets you retrieve the physical model from the generated Modelica model. You must retrieve the physical model to retrieve the kinematic mechanism, the 3D Piping Model, or the 3D HVAC Model, it cannot be retrieved alone.

Before you begin: The current model is a Modelica model generated from a physical model.
Note: The command only works with the model directly generated from the physical model, not on, for example, an instance of that model.
Important: This command is not applicable to a schematic P&ID model, it is not a physical model.
  1. Click Open Physical Model .
  2. In the Open Advanced dialog box, you can do the following:
    1. To open references with expanded structure of all parts, including children, select Which expanded children.
    2. You can select which representations are opened to the references:

      • To open with 3D Shape representations, select that option.
      • To open without any representation, select that option.
      • To open with all representations, select that option.

    3. Click OK.
      The root physical product model from which the Modelica class has been generated appears in a new tab.
