Editing an Equation using the Equation Editor

Equation Editor lets you add, remove or edit equations for a Modelica class. This editor displays a mathematical notation view.

Before you begin:

Activate a class from the Package Browser.

  1. Click Equation Editor .
  2. To modify the equation, click inside the Equation Editor.
    Notes:
    • If you enter an invalid equation, the Equation Editor background becomes red and the Messages Reporting window indicates the error.
    • As soon as the text is modified, an asterisk "*" is added to the title bar.
  3. To return to the mathematical notation view, click anywhere outside the Equation Editor.
  4. If needed, minimize the Equation Editor.
    The Equation Editor symbol appears on the right side of your screen.
  5. Click the icon to maximize the Equation Editor.
  6. To hide the Equation Editor, click again Equation Editor .
