Working with the Main Package Browser

From the main Package Browser, you can navigate through libraries and functional or logical behaviors in session. You can also use drag option, and access edit commands from the context menu. Search tools and history is available.

  1. To select which loaded libraries to display, click Library Chooser and do any of the following:
    • To display all libraries, click Show All Libraries.
    • To display only the used libraries, click Show Only Used Libraries.
    • To show or hide individual libraries, you can click the box in front of them.
  2. Optional: To display protected classes in the Package Browser, click, from the Package Browser header, Show Preferences, and then clear the preference Hide protected classes.
  3. To sort the libraries and classes in an alphabetical order or reverse alphabetical order, click Sort .
  4. To navigate using history, click one of the following:

    Previous Class
    Selects previous class from navigation history.
    Next Class
    Selects next class from navigation history.
    Parent Class
    Returns to the package node.

  5. To search a specific class, enter the name in the search box under the Package Browser header.

    Note: To exit the search result list, click Back to Library View.

  6. To instantiate components, drag them from the Package Browser onto the diagram layer or icon layer.
  7. To perform common operations on a class, right-click a class and select the operation from the context menu.
