You can connect a component using smart connect the following ways:
The connectors must be matching each other.
- Drag the component until the connector of the component is on top of
the connector you want to connect to.
- Drag the component until the connector of the component is on top of
a connection line you want to connect to and drop it.
- Drag a component with two matching connectors on top of a connection
line so the connectors are on top of the line, and drop it.
A short highlight is seen around the matching connectors or
connection line when the connection is created and connected.
In general,
the color of the highlight indicates the degree of success:
- Green: Connection successful.
- Yellow: It is possible to create a connection, but not with
smart connect. You must use the ordinary way of connection. This
is the case for, for example, expandable connectors and array of
connectors.
- Red: Connection is not possible, for example, the connectors are
not matching. A tooltip appears to inform about the reason for
failure.
