Saving a Script

You can save a new or an existing script to a file outside the 3DEXPERIENCE structure, or as a resource of a library.

This task shows you how to:


Before you begin: Display the script in the Modelica Script Editor.

Save an Existing Script to the Same Name and Location

You can save an existing script to the same name and location (file or resource) as from where it was opened.

Click Save Script.
The script is saved to the same name and location as from where it was opened.

Save a New Script to File

You can save a new script from the Modelica Script Editor as a file stored outside the 3DEXPERIENCE structure.

  1. In the Modelica Script Editor, click Save Script.
  2. In the Save Script dialog box, click Save a script on disk .
  3. In the File Name: box, enter the name of the script and browse for the location to store it.
  4. Click Save.
    The script is saved as a file.

Save a New Script to the Resources

You can save a new script from the Modelica Script Editor to the resources of a library.

  1. In the Modelica Script Editor, click Save Script.
  2. In the Save Script dialog box, click Save a script in the resources .
  3. Change the name Unnamed1 to the name you want in the lower part of the Save Resource dialog box.
  4. Browse for the location and click OK.
    The script is saved as a resource.

Save an Existing Script to a New Name and/or Different Type of Location

You can save an existing script in the Modelica Script Editor to a new name and/or to a different type of location (to a file or resources).

  1. Select all content in the script and copy it by Ctrl+C.
  2. Create a new script.
  3. Paste the copied content to the new script by Ctrl+V
  4. Save the new script to file or to resources.
