Inserting a Type

You can insert types by the command Insert Type.


Before you begin: To use the command Insert Type, you must be in the Modelica Editor.

  1. Put the cursor where you want to insert the type, right-click and select Insert Type.
    An Insert Type browser appears.
  2. You can select the type in two ways:
    • Expand the tree and select a type.
    • Start typing the name of the wanted type in the Search box. The content in the Package pane is dynamically adapted to the text. If the default selection is not the right one, you can select another type.
  3. Click OK to validate the selection.
    The type is inserted.
