Displaying a Class in Immersive Dockable Panel

You can display a class by opening it in an immersive dockable panel.

  1. You can display the class in an immersive dockable panel by the context menu in any of the following ways:
    • From the diagram or the Component Browser, right-click an instance of the class and select Display Class in Immersive Panel.
    • From any Package Browser, right-click the class and select Display Class > Display Class in Immersive Panel.
An immersive dockable panel displaying the Modelica class appears, with the following features:
    • If the class supports animation, the content of the 2D panel is also animated.
    • If the class contains objects that could be interacted with, you can interact with them when simulating. You can, for example, start a motor.
    • Several immersive dockable panels can be displayed at the same time, and are animated simultaneously.
Note: You can also display immersive dockable panels for Modelica classes from the Variable Browser when simulating. See Working with the Variable Browser.
  2. You can navigate in the panel:
    • Double-click a component to display the content of the component.
    • Double-click in the panel, outside components, to display the upper level.
