Exporting HTML Documentation

You can export the documentation of a model, to HTML file.


Before you begin:
  • You must specify the folders in which the documentation of the Modelica Libraries are installed. You can specify this option from Me > Preferences > App Preferences > 3D Modeling > Systems Modeling and Execution > Dymola Behavior Modeling , the Libraries tab. See Libraries.
  • If you want to export HTML documentation for a library that are to be encrypted, you must set the protection levels of the library before exporting the HTML documentation. For more information about protection, see Managing Library Protection.
  1. From the Behavior Tools section of the action bar, click Export HTML Documentation .
    The Export HTML documentation dialog box appears.
  2. Select the type of HTML documentation that you want:
    • Model Documentation (including Modelica text): exports HTML documentation which includes the Modelica text corresponding to the documented model. If the Modelica text contains components which have their own HTML documentation, hyperlinks to this documentation are generated.
    • Online Package Documentation (without Modelica text; one HTML file is created for each subpackage): exports multiple HTML files for an online documentation of the current active model or library. This documentation does not include the Modelica text corresponding to the documented model.
    • Printable Package Documentation (without Modelica text; one HTML file is created for the selected package): exports a single HTML file corresponding to the documentation of the current active model or library, for print purpose. This documentation does not include the Modelica text corresponding to the documented model.
  3. Click OK.
    A browse dialog box is displayed.
  4. Browse to select the folder in which you want to save the exported files.
  5. Click Select Folder to export.
    The HTML documentation is exported, and saved in the specified folder.
