Moving a class

From the Package Browser, you can move a class inside its father class or inside packages.

Note: This function is not available for top-level classes. For example, a library cannot be moved to become a subpackage.

Move a Class Inside its Father Class

You can move a class inside its father class.

  1. From the Package Browser, right-click a class.
  2. Select one of the following options:

    • Move up: moves the class up.
    • Move down: moves the class down.
    • Move to top: moves the class to the top of its father class list.
    • Move to the bottom: moves the class to the bottom of its father class list.

    The class is moved to the convenient position.

Move a Class Inside Packages

You can move a class inside packages.

  1. From the Package Browser, right-click a class.
  2. Select the Move option.
    The Modelica Class dialog box appears.
  3. Select the convenient position:

    • Insert in package
    • Insert after class
    • Insert before class

  4. From the Package Browser, select the new location, and then click OK.
    The class is moved in the Package Browser.
