Creating an Attribute Group

You can create an attribute group that, when added to the document template, allows users to record additional information about the document created from the template.


Before you begin: The document template must be in the Inactive state to add or remove attribute groups from it.

  1. View the document template page. See Opening a Document Template.
  2. Select Attribute Groups.
  3. Click Create New .
  4. Enter or edit these details:

    FieldDescription
    NameType a name for the attribute group.
    AttributesClick to search for and select the attributes to be added to the attribute group.

    You can search for and filter existing attributes by name and attribute type. You can only search for and select existing attributes that are not already added to an attribute group associated with the same document template.

    You can make an attribute mandatory when you add it to an attribute group. You can select the available values for an attribute when you add it to an attribute group.

    DescriptionType a detailed description of the attribute group.

  5. Click Done.

The attribute group is created and associated with the document template. It can be searched for and added to other document templates.
