Migrating LHC Data

Company Representatives can migrate controlled documents created in V6R2014 or earlier versions of the Life Sciences Accelerator for Change Control. These documents become quality system documents for use in Quality-based Document Control.

This task shows you how to:

Before you begin: Follow the procedures to replace the document management functions of the Life Sciences Accelerator for Change Control with Quality-based Document Control when upgrading to 3DEXPERIENCER2014x. For more information, go to Migration > Data Migration in the Program Directory. See "Upgrading to 3DEXPERIENCE R2014x" inMigrating Quality-based Document Control Data.

Migrate Selected Documents

Use this task to choose which documents to migrate from the prior controlled document type to the current Quality System Document type.

  1. With Document Control the active app, click .
  2. On the My Documents page tab, click Actions > Migration > Migrate LHC Data.
The search page opens listing all documents that meet the criteria for type, policy, and current state as defined in enoDocumentControl.properties.
  3. If helpful, enter criteria to refine the list to those documents you want to migrate and click .
  4. Select the documents you want to migrate.
  5. Click Submit.
The selected documents are migrated to quality system documents:

    • The new documents are in the Draft state.
    • The name of the original document is used for the new document, however, if that name was already used, the migration process assigns an autoname to the new document.
    • All attributes from the original document are copied to the new document.
    • The logged-in user is defined as the owner of the new documents.
    • The document is associated with the responsible organization defined in enoDocumentControl.properties. If that property is not defined, then the organization associated with the logged-in user is used.
    • A change block is automatically created to document the migration and associated with the new document.

  6. Click OK to clear the confirmation message.

If the quality system document was created using an autoname, you can use the last modified date attribute to help find it.

Migrate All Documents
