Assigning Collaborative Products to Users

In baseline behavior, the Reader role for baseline behavior is derived from the Integration User role.

In baseline behavior environment, you need to be assigned the appropriate roles and licenses by the Administrator to be able to access the collaborative products.

In Customer-Specific Environment, the assignment of integrations is role based.

If you have upgraded your environment to 3DEXPERIENCE R2022x and if you were not using the baseline behavior earlier, you should assign the integration specific role of the integration product. The integration specific role is derived from the Integration User role that is installed by X-CAD Design Management and contains all the privileges of the Integration User role.

For example, if you are using the upgraded environment and using Connector for Inventor server then the user must be assigned the Inventor User role to access and use Connector for Inventor.

Important: User should always be assigned the Designer role along with the Integration Specific role. This assigns a default valid credentials to the user.

To unassign the integration, remove the integration specific role from the user.

For details on assigning and unassigning a role for a user, see Business Process Services Administrator's Guide.
