Installing Integration Exchange Framework Client in UI Mode

This section shows you how to install ENOVIA Integration Exchange Framework Client (IEC) in UI mode.

The IEC installer installs the client-side component of X-CAD Design Management.

It is mandatory to install IEC for all integrations that are dependent on X-CAD Design Management and use native user interface.

Before you begin:
  • Ensure that the user installing Integration Exchange Framework Client has Administrator privileges. Only users with Administrator privileges can install Integration Exchange Framework Client.
  • Ensure that the user installing Integration Exchange Framework Client has Administrator privileges for the system it is installed.
  • For supported JRE versions, please refer to the "Support Policy for Java" in the Program Directories Library for 3DEXPERIENCE R2022x.
  • On 64 bit windows platform, both 32-bit JRE and 64 bit JRE must be installed. 32-bit JRE is used by the X-CAD Design Management applet when operations are performed through the WEB UI and 64-bit JRE is used by Integration Exchange Framework Client.
  • On Unix platform 32-bit JRE is used by the X-CAD Design Management applet when operations are performed through the WEB UI. For IEC on Unix platform, either 64 bit or 32 bit JRE can be used.
  • Ensure that you have .NET Framework installed on your computer, refer the Program Directory for the supported .NET Framework version.
  1. Run the setup.exe for Windows or StartGUI.sh for UNIX systems.
