About Device Identification

Device Identification is a collection of information about a medical device that is submitted to the regulatory authority as a part of the (UDI) Unique Device Identification (UDI) system. UDI, which was created in compliance with the standards defined by the regulatory authorities, consists of unique device identifiers for medical devices. It helps to identify and characterize medical devices, quickly identify and fix problems in medical devices, and improve patient safety.
