Creating a Regulatory Category

You can create submission types by adding rows to the table on the Regulatory Categories page tab of the Regulatory Context Definition page. You cannot create regulatory categories on the page tab for a regulatory authority.

Required access roles: Regulatory Administrator

Before you begin: View the Regulatory Categories page tab of the Regulatory Context Definition page.
  1. From the page toolbar, click Enable Edit .
  2. From the page toolbar, click Insert Row . The app adds a blank row to the table.
  3. Enter these details:

    Field NameDescription
    TitleEnter a name for the category. Use the same name that regulatory authorities use.
    StateChoose Active or Inactive.
    DescriptionEnter descriptive text about this regulatory category.

  4. Click Save.

Market Registration assigns a name using this format: REGCAT- followed by the next sequential number.

To associate a regulatory category with a regulatory authority, access the regulatory authority, then use the Add Existing command on its Regulatory Categories page.
