Creating a Submission Type

You can create submission types by adding rows to the table on the Submission Types tab of the Regulatory Context page. You cannot create submission types on the page tab for a regulatory authority.

Required access roles:

  • Submission type in Inactive state: Regulatory Administrator or submission type owner
  • Submission type in Active state: Regulatory Administrator, Regulatory Lead, Regulatory User, or submission type owner


Before you begin: View the Submission Types page tab on the Regulatory Context page.
  1. From the page toolbar, click Enable Edit .
  2. From the page toolbar, click Insert Row . The app adds a blank row to the table.
  3. Enter these details:

    Field NameDescription
    TitleEnter a descriptive name for the submission type. Use the same name that regulatory authorities use.
    StateChoose Active or Inactive.
    DescriptionEnter descriptive text about this submission type.

    The app adds the regulatory authority when you add this submission type to a regulatory authority. You cannot define the regulatory authority on this page.

  4. Click Save.

    To associate a submission type with a regulatory authority, open the regulatory authority, then use the Add Existing action on its Submission Types page.

Market Registration assigns a name using this format: REGSUBTYPE- followed by the next sequential number.
