A batch tool to migrate old generic drawings to new PLM types of drawings is
available.
A dedicated PLM type of drawing creates for the different types of drawings created in
the WPM app for easy identification of the drawing type.
Drawings create corresponding to the type of drawing as shown below for the selected
process.

For example, as shown below, HeavyIndustryPlateFab drawing is created
for Plate Fab Sketch drawing type. The NLS name of the PLM type
of the drawing is displayed in the Workshop document extraction
command when the new PLM type of drawings is present or to be created.
New Drawing Document Type Creates / Updates through the following commands:
- Extract Workshop Document
- Creation Of New Drawing Document
When Extract Workshop
Document starts for a selected process, the
Type Column displays the NLS name of the PLM
type of the drawing that needs to create. For example, as in the
picture, for the new extraction of the plate fab sketches drawing, the
Type columns displays Plate Fab
Drawing.
Click OK and the
corresponding PLM type of Drawing Document as described in the table
above.
- Update existing old Drawing Document To new Drawing
Document
When the old generic Drawing document is present
for a selected process in Workshop Document
Extraction, and click OK to
update the drawing, a dialog box appears to update the existing Drawing
Document to the new Drawing Document.
Open Workshop Document
- In the case of a New Drawing Type, the Type Column shows the Name of
new Specialized Drawing Types.
- In Case of an old Drawing Type, supports existing behavior.
