About Master Feature Generation Strategy

You can generate a Master Attachment Line by using the Edit Features command on demand.

When Generate Master Attachment Line option is OFF, by default all options are ON, Master Attachment lines are not generated by Update IPM . In a panel case, master attachment lines do not generate on a panel representation.

But attachment lines generate for each split plate representation.

After no master attachment line is generated, it is possible to generate a master attachment line by using Edit Features .

After a master attachment line generates, its modification/deletion can apply to secondary features under the split plate.

Note: Except for an Outer Contour Power Copy, all other Power Copies can have only single Manufacturing feature. If you have defined two Manufacturing features visible, Attachment line and Alignment line in the same power copy this is incorrect.

The attachment line and alignment line:

  • Actual Result: Offset alignment line is cyan, and attachment line is purple, which you expect the reverse.
  • Expected Result: Offset alignment line is purple, and attachment line is cyan.
As per the correct definition, there has to be only one Manufacturing feature in one Power Copy.

Here is an example to point out the difference between the Standard data: Attachment line Power Copy and Customer data: Power Copy for the Attachment line feature.
