Adding an Attachment Line Symbol to a Catalog

You can create symbols and add them to the attachment line symbol-catalog for use in Heavy Industry Structure Fabrication.

  1. In the top bar, select Add > Content and select a 3D Part.
    A new tab opens with a new product.
  2. In the tree, select Properties from the menu of the product.
    The Properties dialog box appears.
  3. Enter a name in the Title window (such as My_MTO) and click OK.
  4. Use the tools provided in the Generative Shape Design app to create a shape for the MTO arrow.
  5. From the Compass, click Social and Collaborative Apps and select Data Setup.

    Note: Only the Owner role can start Data Setup.

  6. From the Resource Tables tab, locate Structure Fabrication Resources.
    A resource table (StrMfg_PRM) exists under Structure Fabrication Resources.
  7. Right-click the imported resource table and select Edit the selected Resource Table.
    A new window lists the resource table contents and a 3D preview of the selected resource.
  8. Locate the Attachment Line Symbol Catalog in the list and select Edit the assigned resource from its menu.
    A new tab opens. The selected catalog is open in the Collaborative IP Management app.
  9. Expand the catalog in the tree, and select Insert > Insert Existing Object from the menu of the MTO Symbols node.
    Select an object or search the database.
  10. Access the Generative Shape Design tab that contains the new product (My_MTO) and select the root node of the product.
    Return to the Collaborative IP Management tab and the product adds to the MTO Symbols node.

    When adding an attachment line in Heavy Industry Structure Fabrication, the new symbol is accessible from the Attachment Line dialog box.
