Importing Heavy Industry Resources

You can import a group of resources that customizes Heavy Industry tasks. You can do this through a 3D XML file that provided with your installation and bind them to your project.

Importing the Data

You can import the group of resources into your database from your 3DEXPERIENCE installation.

Click Play to watch the video:

  1. In the top bar, select Add > Import 3D XML.
    The Import 3D XML panel appears.
  2. In the Import dialog box, select browse file.
  3. Select the file StrMfg_PRM.3dxml and click open.
  4. In the Import dialog box, remove -ImportedAsNew from the Duplication String and click OK.
  5. In the Operation Report dialog box, click OK.

Binding the Data to Your Project

You can bind the imported group of resources to your Collaborative Space project.

Before you begin: You must have at least one Collaborative Space defined to bind an imported resource table to it.

Click Play to watch the video:

  1. From the Compass, click Social and Collaborative Apps and select Data Setup.

    Note: Only the Owner can start Data Setup.

  2. From the Resource Tables tab, locate Structure Fabrication Resources.
    A resource table (StrMfg_PRM) that was imported above exists under Structure Fabrication Resources.
    Note: You can right-click the imported resource table and select Edit the selected Resource Table to modify the resources within it.
  3. Click StrMfg_PRM and drag it to your project in the Collaborative Spaces bindings frame.
