Creating a Manufacturing Template

You can create a manufacturing template structure under a Transform manufactured item. The structure comprises one or more manufacturing templates, and each template comprises one or more machining steps.

  1. Open Fabricated Step Definition.
    A PPR Context and a manufacturing assembly are created by default.
  2. From the Authoring section of the action bar, click Create a New Manufacturing Template Representation .
    The Manufacturing Template View panel appears in an authoring tab. The panel is initialized with a Transform manufactured item.

  3. Click Create a New Manufacturing Template .
  4. Click Machining Step Spot Drill .
  5. Click Machining Step Hole .
  6. Click Create a New Manufacturing Template to create a second template.
  7. Click Machining Step Hole and Machining Step Countersink to create machining steps.
  8. Click Create a New Manufacturing Template to create a third template.
  9. Click Machining Step Hole or Machining Step Counterbore to create machining steps.
  10. Select Share > Save or press Ctrl + S.
    The manufacturing template structure is saved.

    Note: The manufacturing template structure is saved as a Transform manufactured item. You can search it using the predefined query prcs: searchstring.
