Attaching, Detaching, and Confirming Objects

You can attach objects to manikins so that there is a one-way relationship between a manikin segment and one or more objects in its environment. The attached object becomes a subordinate to the segment. Once attached, this object moves with the same matrix as its parent segment.

This task shows you how to:

Before you begin:
  • Attach is a one-way relationship; the object follows the segment, not the opposite. If the object moves (that is, using the Robot) after the attach creates, the segment does not follow the object's motion. Every segment of the manikin is a candidate to be a parent of an attach relationships.
  • The Robot may snap to manikin skin points, not only the central point of a segment.
  • Refer to the status bar for information and instructional prompts.
