This task shows you how to:

Viewing a Report

  2. Select View, the data appears:

Exporting Different Formats from a Report File

The purpose of this functionality is to produce comprehensive report files from the manikin specifications. This gathers the results of the various analyses found in the Ergonomics apps including an analysis of the manikin's eye sight.

Before you begin: Have some analytical data ready to export.
  1. Click File in the Report Definition dialog box.

The File Selection dialog box appears.

  2. Select HTML Files(*.html) or Text Files (*.txt).
  3. Type a File name.
  4. Click Open.
  5. This changes the Output File window to save the data as the required file type.
  6. Select the types of analysis, and OK.
Note: A html log file contains some special fields that are impossible to display in text. For example, the RULA analysis row contains an additional cell, which serves to display the color associated with the numerical result of the RULA analysis. Likewise, the rows for the constraint results contain a cell that has coloring in the same fashion.
Note: Since a text file presents a simple, yet precise format, its contents can be parsed, sorted, and further processed, to be incorporated into another report.

If this file imports in a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet, then each data field automatically places in a separate column, and you can use filtering.

Note: You can also change the default settings for the directory to save in. See Me > Preferences > App Preferences > Simulation then Ergonomics Evaluation, General.
