Setting or Resetting Angular Limitations with Percentage

This allows you to change the angular limitations of one or many degrees of freedom according to the percentage you choose. This percentage value represents the required portion of the population that must be able to reach the limit.

At manikin creation, all angular limitations are limits that 50% of the population can reach. You may want to restrict, example: accommodate a narrower percentage of the population or widen, example: accommodate a larger percentage of the population, these limits for a specific requirement of the population study.

  1. Select a segment of the manikin. Hold down the Ctrl key on the keyboard to select more than one segment.


  2. Click Angular limitations with Percentage .
    The Specify Angular Limitations Dialog Box appears.

    Important: A read-only text field shows the selected segments (or lines of sight). Using Angular Limitation Functionality

  3. Select a Percentage between 0 and 100.
    Both the limits (minimum and maximum) of all degrees of freedom selected takes on the specified percentage.
  4. Click OK to confirm the modification or Cancel to cancel the action.
  5. Resetting the modification, right-click the Body node and select Properties.
    The Angular limitations tab shows the specified limitations.
  6. Select the body element, and click Reset to clear the limitation.
    Completing the modification, if the selected degree of freedom locked with a value that would be outside the new limits. In this case, the information is displayed *Value is outside of the human limitations*.
  7. Click OK to save and close the dialog box.
