About the Start Up Panels

The start up panels help you validate your working environment and guide you in your first steps with a machining app.

This page discusses:

Landing Page

When you enter a machining app for the first time, the landing page is displayed to help you define your Me > Preferences.

The landing page allows you to verify the compatibility of you installed compiler. You can also optimize performance settings using the provided link. Clicking the links displays the corresponding Me > Preferences > App Preferences > Simulation sections.

Note: Closing this page is definitive. It only appears the first time that you enter a machining app. To display the landing page again, click Help then Landing Page.

Machining Wizard

The machining wizard displays automatically when entering a machining app.

The machining wizard contains all required sections and commands to guide you from setup definition to program validation. It is available in the following apps:

  • Mill-Turn Machining
  • Prismatic and Turning Machining
  • Milling Machining
  • Multi-Axis Machining
  • Prismatic Machining
  • Wire EDM Machining
  • Drilling and Riveting

Only one section may be expanded at a time. The sections may vary depending on the PPR in session.

Sections that are grayed out are not yet available because previous sections are not yet complete. Sections that have a green check next to them indicate that these sections are complete.

Hovering over a command in the Machining Wizard displays the corresponding section of the action bar, Activities Process Tree, or configuration view.

It is composed of the following sections:
