Details for Managing Inconsistent Links

Machining features in machining programs represent points from other objects thanks to external links (relations). When pointed data is deleted or replaced (ex: replaced by a new version), the relation becomes inconsistent and needs to be reconnected with Manage Inconsistent Links.

This displays an immersive table that lists the broken links. This table contains the following columns:

  • Machining object: Name of main feature using the link (it is not always the feature that owns the link. Some examples are Part operation, Machining Program, Sweeping, and Rework area ).
  • Link type: The type gives relevant information of the type of link between object and component.
    • Geometry or type of geometry - For link pointing to geometric element, for Part Operation, it is Parts, Stock or Fixtures
    • Resource or type of resource (manufacturing setup, tool, spindle or turret) - For link pointing instances of resource.
    • NC Code - For link pointing NC output reps
    • Knowledge - For external knowledge parameters in machining program rep
    • Tool path - For external link between tool path and tool
