Locally Editing Feeds and Speeds Parameters

You can locally edit the Feeds and Speeds parameters on the cutting resource from the Resource Configuration View.

Before you begin: Create a cutting tool resource and define its parameters.

  1. Right-click a resource and select Edit Local Parameters.
  2. Select the Feeds and Speeds expander.
  3. Select a feeds and speeds configuration.
  4. Select a type of speed:
    • For cutting speed, select Linear Speed.
    • For spindle speed, select Angular Speed.
  5. Define the speed value.
  6. Select the type of feedrate: Per tooth or Global.
  7. Define the feedrate value.
  8. Define the Approach Feedrate, Retract Feedrate, and Plunge Feedrate (if applicable).
  9. Optional: Depending on the type of tool insert (milling, drilling, or lathe), modify the additional parameters:
    ToolParameters
    Milling Max plunge angle

    Axial depth of cut

    Radial width of cut

    Drilling Plunge feedrate
    Lathe Max depth of cut

All the machining operations linked to the feeds and speeds configuration attributes of the resource are updated with the locally modified values.

Recommendation: Recompute the toolpath after modifying feedrates locally.
