Using Send to Library

You can send a PLM resource (machine, accessory, adapter, tool assembly, or another component of a tool assembly) to create a new library, or update an existing one.

  1. Right-click a machine, accessory, adapter, tool assembly, or another component of a tool assembly.
  2. Select NC Resources > Send to Library to open the Send to library dialog box.
  3. To create a new library, select Create a new library expander.
  4. In the Send to Library panel, specify Library Name and Class Name.
  5. Click OK to send the selected resource to the class in the library.
  6. To update an existing library, select Update an existing library expander.
    Recently used libraries appear.
    Note: You can select a new library in database from the search command.
  7. Enter or select a class name in the Class Name field.
    Existing class names are displayed and Manage Revision options are enable.
    Note: You can create a new class name selecting Edit to create a new class name.
  8. Select the Manage Revision option:

    • Add selected revision: Adds the selected resource revision in library class.
    • Replace revisions older than selected one: Replaces all the older revisions existing in library class by the selected revision.
      Note: If no older revisions exist in library class for the selected resources revision, then an information panel displays the list of resources names that do not have older revisions in library class.

  9. Click OK.
    Library class is updated.
