Players

In native apps, the Experience Player appears to the right of the Compass when you click Play. In web apps, the manufacturing simulation options are part of 3DPlay.

Experiences can be saved as animation object. This enables you to replay a specific experience on the player, even if the data in your simulation is no longer what it was when you created the animation. Also, you can save an experience as a movie. A movie can consist of still images (JPEGs) or moving images in .avi format. Animation objects can be viewed within 3DEXPERIENCE; movie objects are saved to your computer and can be seen on external viewers.

The controls found on the player for simulations are shown below. Not all controls appear whenever you click Play.

VCR-Like Commands

Go to Beginning (Home) brings the simulation to the beginning and executes the first frame.
Play Step Backward: by default, shows replay one frame at a time.
Play Backward.
Play forward shows replay as continuous motion.
Pause
Play Step Forward: by default, shows replay one frame at a time.
Jump to End.

Loop Modes

Loop Mode: Single loop shows the simulation once, from beginning to end.
Note: This is the default value. To see other loop options, click this command. The option that is visible in the loop mode position is the one in operation.
Loop Mode: Replay

Replay runs continuously going back and forth; that is, once the end of the replay is reached, the replay runs in reverse, then once the beginning is reached, it runs again forward.

Loop Mode: Continuous loop

Replay runs continuously in a loop; that is, once the end of the replay is reached, the replay begins again from the beginning.

Step Metric



This allows you to select the type of measurement used for a step. The options are:

  • Time: the steps are measured in seconds
  • Position: the steps are determined by trajectory points (T-Points)
  • Distance: the steps are measured in millimeters

Counter



The counter keeps track of the steps: the time, the trajectory point, or the distance from the most recent trajectory point. For trajectory points, the counter is incremented in tenths. For example, 5.5 shows that the simulation is halfway between trajectory points 5 and 6.

Slider



As you drag the slider, you can see the data move as defined for the animation.

Speed Factor



Use the list to select the factor by which to increase the speed.
