You can create a material deposition additive tool using Resource
Creation from the action bar. Once
created, you can edit it in the manufacturing cell.
In the Resource Creation dialog box that appears, under
Additive Items, click Create Additive Tool
to create a nozzle.
Enter a name for the tool.
Click Edit Parameters
to
view the technology parameters. You can also add new parameters and then retrieve them
when generating the output file for the programing.
Note:
The four default technology parameters represent physical variables of the tool and
cannot be modified:
Bead Width: define the Bead Width
when simulating additive tool path with the Material Printing
option set.
Bead Height: define the Bead Height
when simulating additive tool path with the Material Printing
option set.
Printing Speed: define the speed of the tool moves when
printing.
Power: define the power used to print, it is used when
doing SIMULIA physical simulation.
Click Manage Representations
to add or edit
user representations.
To finish, click OK.
An additive tool is created and added to the activities process tree.
