Creating a Product Flow

You can create a product flow to specify a precedence constraint between two systems, two operations, or a system and an operation.

The objects must be under the same root, but can have different father systems, that is, they can be siblings or cousins at different levels in the tree.

This task shows you how to:

Create a Product Flow

You can create a product flow between two objects.

  1. Select two objects, then click Create Link from the Authoring section of the action bar.

    Tip: Alternatively, you can drag the first object to the second one.

  2. In the Create Link panel, click Product Flow .

    Tip: Click the switch button to reverse the flow.

A product flow is created between the objects. It appears in the Relations column in the dashboard.

Display the Flow Between Operations

You can display a graph with different flows between objects.

  1. Select an operation and from the Authoring section of the action bar, click Relations .
    The Relations panel displays showing links between objects.
    Note: You can filter the links using the filter bar.
  2. Optional: To display the links between objects, click Show Graph View in the View section of the action bar.

The flows between operations appear as follows:

Note: You can use Show Links Filter Menu to filter the links you want to display.

Delete a Product Flow

You can delete a flow between two objects.

  1. From the Authoring section of the action bar, click Relations .
  2. In the Relations panel, select an object whose link needs to be deleted and click Menu .
  3. Click Delete Link .

The product flow is deleted and disappears from the Link View section.
