Creation Rule- Generate MBOM

This allows you not to generate a manufactured item for a product element through the Rule-Based MBOM Generation functionality by the Generate MBOM and Synchronization Manager. An action rule GenMBOM_Creation_NoAssy is in the Product Of Creation action rule.

This action rule returns the oMfgItemType as an NONE string when an input product has child or children. When oMfgItemType is specify to NONE, oFatherMfgItem is ignored although it has some value. At the end, no manufactured item generates for product assemblies but manufactured parts by default generate for leaf products. Once again, the NONE string keyword is introduced to prevent the creation of the manufactured item.

  • Generate MBOM command

Clicking Preferences on the panel of Generate MBOM, the action rules are then read and display.

Once the new action rule specifies manually, this information stores in the CATPreferences file (%appdata%\DassaultSystemes\CATSettings\R423\Desktop\ DELMnORuleBasedPreferences.CATPreferences) and has higher priority rather than Data Setup configuration. Clicking OK in the panel of Generate MBOM, the computation result appears. As per the applied rule, Mfg Item Type is seen as None for product assemblies.

Clicking Finish, the manufactured parts create for leaf products, but not assemblies.

  • Synchronization Manager

When Data Setup for Heavy Industry Manufacturing App is configured and clicking Preferences on the panel of Synchronization Manager, action rules are read and display. Click Search of Rule for Creation in Preferences. After selecting a physical product for action rules, the Action Rule List appears. Select the new GenMBOM_Creation NoAssy action rule and OK.

Creating the new action rule manually, this information stores in the CATPreferences file (%appdata%\DassaultSystemes\CATSettings\R423\Desktop\ DELMnORuleBasedPreferences.CATPreferences) and has higher priority rather than Data Setup configuration. Generate MBOM, and Synchronization Manager, uses this preference file, but different rule information stores for each.

Clicking Compute, it computes. As per the applied rule, status is seen as New and Action is seen as None for product assemblies.

Click Synchronize and the manufactured parts create for leaf products, but not assemblies
