Assigning Parts

You can assign parts using drag and drop from the tree, Auxiliary Viewer, or Parts List to manufacturing assembly tiles.

This task shows you how to:

From the tree, click and drag an unassigned part to the parent manufacturing assembly.

This creates a manufactured part under the parent manufacturing assembly.

From the Display section of the Auxiliary Viewer, ensure that you are in Global Mode .

Click Show Only Unassigned Parts .
From the Authoring section of the action bar, click Manufacturing Assembly and select a parent manufactured item tile.
Creates a new child manufacturing assembly.
Select unassigned parts in the Auxiliary Viewer and drag them onto the new manufacturing assembly tile.
Assigns the selected parts to the manufacturing assembly, and the manufacturing assembly automatically updates.
