Using Smart Selection

You can use various methods to select parts.

This task shows you how to:

Using Normal Selection

You can use normal selection to select and clear parts individually.

  1. From the Selection section of the Auxiliary Viewer toolbar, click Normal Selection .

  2. Select a part in the Auxiliary Viewer.
  3. While pressing the Ctrl, select the same part.
    The part clears.

Using Single Selection

You can use single selection to select or clear all connected piping parts.

  2. Click a piping part in the Auxiliary Viewer.
    Selects the selected part and all connected piping parts.
  3. While pressing Ctrl, select the same part.
    Clearing all connected parts.

Using Multi-Selection

You can use Multi-Selection to select or clear all piping parts connected between start and end.

  2. Select one piping part as start and select another piping part as end in the Auxiliary Viewer.
    Selects the selected parts and all connected piping parts between start and end.
  3. While pressing Ctrl, select the same part.
    Clears all connected parts.

Using Spool Selection

You can use spool selection to select/deselect a spool from a piping part.

  2. Select a piping part that is a member of a spool in the Auxiliary Viewer.
    Selects all the members of the spool.
  3. While pressing Ctrl, select the same part.
    Clears all the members of the spool.

Using Sibling Selection

You can use sibling selection to select/deselect all of the sibling parts of a selected part.

  2. Click a part in Auxiliary Viewer.
